Ragada - Not Created Much Raaagda-Movie Review

Ragada released all over the world in around 700 prints on Friday 24th of December. Ragada movie of South Indian Star Nagarjuna, After the disaster KEDI nagarjuna is coming with a very good script – Priyamani and Anushka are paired up with him this time.

Story:

Ragada set on the backdrop of Hyderabad location, the film story begins with GK – Dev Gill who is always looking to grab the entire power from Pradeep Rawath (peddanna) and waits for the right time to decide. Peddanna finds a near possibility with the involvement of Nag (satya) who is fearless, tough and intelligent. Satya wins GK confidence and in this process of achieving wat GK wants ultimately, even GK love interest Anushka – Sirisha also falls for Satya (Nagarjuna). Meanwhile, Satya gives shelter to Ashtalakshmi (Priyamani) who has few concerns.

But here the final twist comes when satya’s background comes in, no one knows who is satya and from where he came and why he came.

Performances:

Akkineni Nagarjuna really looks dazzling on the screen and everyone knows about his presence on the screen will always change the mass movie into class. He even took the entire movie to a safe zone on his shoulders. Nag looks are outstanding and as natural. Anushka has filled the glamour quotient with her voluptuous appeal and she will be a visual treat to the masses. Performance wise, she did her bit as required. Priyamani was effective and though she cannot match Anushka in terms of looks or glamour, she made her presence felt in her own way.

Brahmanandam takes off in an interesting manner and gives few laughs. However, his role becomes weak during the second half.

The bunch of villains like Kota, Pradeep Rawath, Dev Gill, Supreeth, Shravan didn’t have much except screaming their lungs out and taking the bashings from the hero. There is no strength in their characterization. Charmee looks sizzling hot and her moves are sensuous. Dharmavarapu, Master Bharat were brief and brought few smiles, Sana was standard, Sreelatha was okay, Satya Prakash was standard, the rest did their bit upto the mark.

Highlights:

Nagarjuna’s style and looks

Glamour quotient of the leading ladies

Opening fight sequence of Nag

Rich presentation of songs

Drawbacks:

The story slows down in the second half and it kinda dragging

Songs showing up in the middle of no where

Editing is poor

Villain characters are not properly eloborated

Analysis:

Overall the movie is nothing but a few fights , song picturisations , heroines and comedy plot and a little bit of sentimental touch. The dialogues were good at some points but the editing part lacks at some points. Ofcourse the movie do have some twists but in the climax which makes the movie a little dragging. If the director would have worked on the comedy track it would have been worth watching a little more. Anyway the movie lacks the plot but still it might run at the B and C centers due to the fights and heroine glam show and mainly Bramhanandam comedy track which can be the highlight of the movie.

Verdit :- Bindaas movie on the whole
