After winning the Golden Globe award in the category of Best Original Score for the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 2009, AR Rahman creates history by making it for the second time for the film ‘127 Hours directed by Danny Boyle. Rahman got the international platform through Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Post his double Oscars in 2009, this 44 year old music emperor is desperate to win this 2nd Golden Globe. Rahman will be competing against other musicians like Danny Elfman for ‘Alice in Wonderland’, Alexandre Desplat for ‘The King’s Speech’, Hans Zimmer for ‘Inception’ and Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross for ‘The Social Network’.The soundtrack as well as the background music in the film ‘127 Hours’ had received wide accolades. Rahman teamed up with the American popstar Dido for the soundtrack ‘If I Rise’. ‘127 Hours’ is 2010 biographical film produced and directed by Danny Boyle. The film stars James Franco as a mountaineer Aron Ralston, who gets trapped by a boulder in Robbers Roost, Utah, for more than 5 days and had to cut off his arm to free himself.
