Mahesh Babu Out -Surya In Shankar's 3 Idiots Remake!.

Surya who was already seen in many dubbed successful flicks in Telugu. First time he did a full fledged Telugu movie and the results are obvious. Now this success is a motivating factor for the ‘Robo/Endhiran/Robot’ super director Shankar to consider him for a movie he is contemplating to shoot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. This movie which is a remake of ‘3 Idiots’ in Hindi is into controversy right from the day it was conceptualized for a remake. Since it involves 3 heroes it’s always important that a right combination is selected and that’s becoming a Herculean task for the director who commends high degree of respect in southern movie industry.

We all know of Vijay’s reluctance to do the film in Tamil due to certain differences and now Mahesh Babu also has come to a conclusion to stay out of the film citing clashing of dates. So the director ultimately is contemplating to introduce a common hero acceptable by both the states and thus Surya is in.
